DeAnn Baxter Named Liberty USO Volunteer of the Quarter

Congratulations to DeAnn Baxter, Liberty USO Volunteer of the Quarter for Q2, and the first-ever from Western PA!

DeAnn joined the Western PA USO volunteer team in September 2020. With two small children, it’s not always easy for her to volunteer at USO events. Instead, she is involved in administrative support, community engagement, and leadership mentoring.

Thanks to DeAnn’s tenacity in contacting local businesses, Western PA had its own category in the 2020 online auction. She was instrumental in securing items to fill the Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Battle Buddy Boxes with goodies, leading other volunteers in the process. No task is too big or too small. She stuffed military kid activity kits, helped with the Trunk-or-Treat and assisted with other administrative duties.

A Rock Star has risen in Pittsburgh! With her very positive attitude, she is a great ambassador in telling the USO story at our newest location.
